
Elon Musk's xAI has purchased a third building in Southaven, Mississippi, adjacent to its existing 'Colossus 2' data center in Memphis. This expansion is expected to increase xAI's artificial intelligence training compute capacity to nearly 2 gigawatts. Musk has previously stated plans for the world's largest AI data center, with Colossus 2 projected to house 550,000 Nvidia chips. xAI has been actively fundraising to finance these ambitious projects.
