
SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched Italy's COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation satellite into low-Earth orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base. The satellite, developed by the Italian Space Agency and Ministry of Defence, is equipped with synthetic aperture radar for Earth observation. Its data will be used for applications including risk management, environmental protection, resource exploration, and security purposes.
