
India's broadband subscriber base surpassed one billion (100 crore) in November 2025, a significant increase from 131.49 million in November 2015. This growth reflects a more than sixfold expansion in digital connectivity over the past decade, according to data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Ministry of Communications. The total internet subscriber base also saw a quarterly increase, with wireless subscriptions forming the vast majority.
