Odisha's State Pollution Control Board, in partnership with IIT Bhubaneswar, has launched a mobile app for real-time monitoring of fly ash transportation. The app, unveiled by outgoing Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, uses GPS tracking, QR codes, and geo-fencing to prevent unauthorized dumping and ensure verified trip closures. Initially implemented in four power plants, the system aims to improve transparency and accountability in fly ash management across the state.
