McKinsey CEO Reports 25,000 AI Agents Working Alongside Human Employees

McKinsey CEO Bob Sternfels revealed the company employs approximately 25,000 AI agents alongside over 40,000 human employees. These AI agents, distinct from simple chatbots, are autonomous systems assisting with tasks like research, data analysis, and document preparation. The company aims to equip every human employee with at least one AI agent within the next 18 months to enhance productivity and efficiency, a significant increase from just a few thousand AI agents less than two years ago.
