Google has updated its AI video generation model, Veo 3.1, introducing native vertical video support for platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Reels. The update enhances the 'Ingredients to Video' feature, enabling users to create dynamic videos from reference images with improved storytelling, dialogue, and visual consistency. Veo 3.1 also supports upscaling videos to 1080p and 4K resolutions. These features aim to simplify content creation for mobile-first platforms and are rolling out across Google services including YouTube, Gemini, and Vertex AI.
