The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) revealed that the failure of the NVS-02 navigation satellite to reach its intended circular orbit in January 2025 was due to a drive signal not reaching the pyro valve controlling the oxidizer line of its engine. An Apex Committee found that a likely cause was a loose electrical connection in both main and backup circuits. ISRO has implemented recommended corrective measures in subsequent missions, improving pyro system reliability.
