A trial is set for April 27 in the lawsuit filed by Elon Musk against OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Microsoft. Musk alleges that OpenAI abandoned its original nonprofit mission, misled him, and became a lucrative for-profit entity. He claims Altman deceived him into co-founding a nonprofit intended to benefit humanity with open-source AI. The suit contends OpenAI's restructuring and multibillion-dollar deals violated this mission. Musk, an original co-founder and funder, left OpenAI in 2018. The trial will be presided over by US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in Oakland, California.
