Tesla Ends One-Time Full Self-Driving Sales, Moves to Subscription Model from February 14

Tesla announced it will end one-time purchases of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software after February 14, shifting exclusively to a monthly subscription model priced at $99. The FSD system, which requires active driver supervision, offers advanced driver assistance including city street navigation. This change aims to lower upfront costs and support ongoing software development amid regulatory scrutiny following multiple safety investigations and crash reports. Existing owners with FSD retain lifetime access, while new users must subscribe. Tesla plans to introduce full FSD features in India pending regulatory approval.
