
Honda Cars India has begun nationwide road testing of its first electric SUV, the 0 Alpha, from its Tapukara facility. The prototype, based on the Honda 0 Alpha concept revealed at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, will undergo extensive evaluation across diverse Indian driving and climate conditions, including extreme heat and monsoon. Honda plans to invest ₹1,200 crore in its Rajasthan plant for manufacturing, targeting production by year-end and launch around 2027. The SUV will feature locally made LFP battery options and aims to meet Indian customer needs for reliability and practicality.
