The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully conducted a static test of an improved third stage (SS3) for its Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) at Sriharikota. This upgraded stage features a new carbon-epoxy motor case, reducing inert mass and increasing payload capacity by approximately 90 kg. The test validated enhancements to the igniter, nozzle design, and a fault-tolerant electro-mechanical actuator system, confirming the motor's readiness for flight induction and supporting ISRO's expansion of launch capabilities.
