Qualcomm Launches Snapdragon Wear Elite Chip for Advanced AI in Wearables

Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon Wear Elite, a new 3nm chip designed to enhance AI capabilities on wearable devices like smartwatches and AR glasses. Featuring an integrated Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU) and an enhanced AI accelerator, the chip supports on-device AI tasks such as real-time transcription, translation, and contextual recommendations without relying on the cloud. It offers improved CPU and GPU performance over previous models and is expected in commercial devices from Google, Motorola, and Samsung within months.
