IIT Madras Releases Roadmap for Renewable Energy-Powered Zero-Emission Truck Charging Parks

IIT Madras has developed a practical and financially viable roadmap for integrating renewable energy into zero-emission truck charging infrastructure across India. The institute released a comprehensive handbook, prepared by its Centres of Excellence in Energy and Zero Emission Trucking, outlining pathways to incorporate solar and wind power supported by battery storage into high-capacity charging parks. The handbook aims to support policymakers and industry stakeholders in decarbonising electric mobility and reducing reliance on conventional grid power through evidence-based analysis and real-world modeling.
