Vice President Radhakrishnan Unveils Indigenous Drone to Tranquilise Elephants

Vice President C P Radhakrishnan unveiled an indigenous drone designed to tranquilise violent elephants remotely, aiming to reduce risks to forest personnel and minimize wildlife disturbance. The drone, developed by Garuda Aerospace, supports precise aerial-assisted darting and reflects years of research and upgrades. Its deployment follows previous drones supplied to conservation groups and forest departments for wildlife monitoring, anti-poaching, and habitat mapping, highlighting advances in human-wildlife conflict mitigation technology in India.
