NIT-T Researchers Develop Sustainable Uses for Waste from Ariyamangalam Dumpyard

Researchers at the National Institute of Technology-Tiruchi (NIT-T) are developing sustainable solutions using waste from the Ariyamangalam dumpyard. One team is working on converting combustible plastics into reusable raw materials known as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). Another group has created eco-friendly paver blocks incorporating Soil-Like Material (SLM), a major component of legacy waste previously discarded due to limited reuse options.
