Google is reportedly preparing to test changes to its search results in Europe to give rival vertical search services more prominence, particularly for hotel, flight, and restaurant queries. This move aims to address concerns under the EU's Digital Markets Act, which could impose fines up to 10% of global revenue for breaches. Since 2017, Google has faced over €9.7 billion in antitrust fines in Europe. The European Commission has not commented on the planned changes.
