Joby Aviation's Electric Air Taxis to Launch Commercially in Dubai by End of 2026

Electric air taxis developed by Joby Aviation are scheduled to begin commercial operations in Dubai by the end of 2026, according to Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority Chairman Mattar Al Tayer. The Joby Aerial Taxi, a fully electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, completed its first test flight in Dubai in June 2025. Designed for eco-friendly urban transport, it can fly up to 160 kilometers at speeds of 320 km/h. Joby holds exclusive operating rights in Dubai for six years.
