Alibaba Launches Wukong AI Platform Amid Growing Enterprise AI Agent Market in China

Alibaba has launched Wukong, an AI platform designed to automate complex business tasks such as document editing, spreadsheet updates, meeting transcription, and research. Available currently via invitation-only beta, Wukong integrates with Alibaba's DingTalk and other messaging services like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WeChat. This launch follows Alibaba's reorganization under the Alibaba Token Hub and intensifies competition in China's growing AI agent market, which has seen similar offerings from ByteDance, Tencent, and AI startup Zhipu amid rising user interest and regulatory caution.
