Luma AI, a Palo Alto-based startup, has launched its Unified Intelligence architecture to address the fragmented nature of current AI tools that lose context across text, image, and video workflows. CEO Amit Jain highlighted that existing models suffer from a 'memory problem,' causing inefficiencies in creative projects. Luma's new system integrates multimodal reasoning and content generation in a single AI brain, with its first model Uni-1 combining words and visuals. The company also introduced Luma Agents to support creative teams, backed by a $900 million funding round led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.
