
Canva has acquired UK-based 2D animation software company Cavalry and US video ad startup MangoAI to enhance its AI-driven creative tools and professional design offerings. MangoAI co-founder Nirmal Govind will lead personalization and algorithm development at Canva. These acquisitions aim to expand Canva's motion design and video advertising optimization capabilities as it competes with Adobe and Apple. Canva reported over 265 million users, 31 million paid seats, and $4 billion in annualized revenue in 2025.
