India's semiconductor talent development is advancing through the Chips to Start-up (C2S) Programme, which has enrolled over 100,000 individuals and trained around 67,000 in chip design. Forty-six academic institutions have submitted 122 chip designs, with 56 successfully fabricated at the Semi-Conductor Laboratory, Mohali. The programme supports nearly 400 organisations, including startups, and fosters patent filings, IP core development, and research, aiming to build industry-ready professionals and strengthen India's semiconductor ecosystem amid global talent shortages.
