
Chinese automaker BYD has launched its second-generation Blade Battery featuring rapid charging capabilities, including charging from 20% to 97% in under 12 minutes at temperatures as low as -20°C. The battery offers increased energy density, enabling driving ranges over 1,000 km on luxury models like the Denza Z9GT and Yangwang U7. BYD's Flash Charging network currently has over 4,000 stations in China, with plans to expand to 20,000 by 2026. The battery has passed safety tests exceeding national standards, addressing key challenges in EV charging speed and cold-weather performance.
