India has been invited to join Pax Silica, a US-led initiative focused on securing critical supply chains for silicon, advanced manufacturing, and AI. Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan stated this invitation signifies global trust in India as a partner in critical technology. The initiative aims to counter China's influence by aligning technology, critical minerals, and geopolitics among trusted nations. India's participation is seen as a strategic move, placing the country at a high table for discussions on critical minerals and AI development.
