MAHE Launches Quantum-Hub to Advance Indigenous Quantum Hardware Ecosystem

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has launched Quantum-Hub MAHE at its Bengaluru campus to advance India's indigenous quantum hardware ecosystem under the National Quantum Mission. The hub integrates hardware experimentation, startup incubation, workforce training, and research within an open-architecture platform. It will begin with a 25-qubit dilution refrigeration system, aiming to scale to 1,000-qubit industrial-grade systems. Collaborations include C-DAC and international partners. The facility targets training 100 quantum engineers by December 2026 and will serve as a national testing gateway, with physical inauguration planned for September 2026.
