
San Francisco startup Ryze, founded by Ira Bodnar, experienced a sharp decline in business after Anthropic's Claude AI introduced new features automating Meta ad management. Ryze, which automated Google and Meta ad campaigns, had grown rapidly with a 70% deal close rate before Claude's update caused it to drop to 20%. Bodnar warned that as Claude expands capabilities, AI-driven automation may disrupt marketing startups and the broader software-as-a-service industry by making specialized tools obsolete.
