Cisco Predicts Space-Based Data Centres to Address AI Infrastructure Needs

Space-based data centres could address power and cooling challenges faced on Earth, benefiting from higher solar energy intensity and improved cooling efficiency. Patel emphasized innovations in power efficiency and connectivity, noting the scale of AI infrastructure may require hundreds of billions of AI agents operating continuously worldwide.
