
Amazon has begun automatically upgrading some Prime users' devices to Alexa Plus, an AI-enhanced version of its voice assistant that supports more natural conversations and expanded device compatibility. While Alexa Plus aims to improve user experience with generative AI and broader functionality across devices like TVs and cars, some users report slower responses, increased advertising, and a less friendly tone. Users can revert to the previous version by voice command, but cannot currently opt out of the upgrade.
