AST SpaceMobile's Bluebird Block-2 satellite, designed for global 4G/5G cellular broadband to standard smartphones, was successfully deployed into Low Earth Orbit by ISRO's LVM3 rocket on December 24. This marks the first AST SpaceMobile satellite launched from India. The company plans to begin operations in the coming weeks, with the satellite being the largest commercial communications array deployed in LEO. AST SpaceMobile aims to launch 45-60 satellites by the end of 2026.
