Neuralink plans to begin high-volume production of its brain-computer interface implants in 2025, according to CEO Elon Musk. The company aims for an almost fully automated surgical procedure by 2026 to accelerate the rollout of implants designed to help individuals with paralysis regain control. These implants have enabled patients to play video games, browse the internet, and control devices. Neuralink previously announced implanting chips in 12 people with severe paralysis, with one patient reporting successful control of games and household appliances.
