The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched the ISRO Robotics Challenge - URSC (IRoC-U 2026), inviting students to develop autonomous navigation systems for future space missions, including Martian surface exploration. The challenge, named ASCEND, requires teams to create a micro-UAV capable of independent navigation, data transfer, and recharging without external aids like GPS. This initiative aims to foster innovation in autonomous aerial swarms for planetary exploration.
