The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has operationalized its Hospital Information System (HIS) at its Sangrur Satellite Centre starting January 1, 2026. This digital system aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and patient convenience. Essential modules like registration, billing, and admission-discharge-transfer are live, with further modules for doctor's desk and lab services to follow. PGIMER plans to replicate this framework at its Chandigarh facility to ensure uniform service delivery.
