Toyota to Launch Urban Cruiser EV in India on January 20, Details Revealed

Toyota is set to launch its first fully electric vehicle in India, the Urban Cruiser EV, on January 20. Based on the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, it shares platform, battery options (49kWh and 61kWh LFP packs), and features, with minor styling differences. The compact electric SUV targets urban buyers and offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 543km. Priced between Rs 19 lakh and Rs 25 lakh, it will compete in the growing midsize electric SUV segment alongside models like Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV.
