Google is gradually rolling out a new feature allowing users to change their primary gmail.com email addresses. Previously, only non-Gmail addresses linked to Google accounts could be modified. The update ensures users can update outdated usernames without losing data, as old addresses will function as aliases, continuing to receive emails. Google has set limits, permitting a maximum of three or four changes per account over its lifetime, with a one-year restriction on reusing a changed address. The feature is rolling out to personal Google Account holders.
