Uttar Pradesh Surpasses 2 GW Rooftop Solar Capacity, Lucknow Leads National Installations
Uttar Pradesh has reached a significant milestone by surpassing 2 gigawatts of installed residential rooftop solar capacity, joining states like Gujarat and Maharashtra in this achievement. Lucknow, the state capital, leads India in rooftop solar installations, with over 1.08 lakh systems installed across more than 1.1 lakh households. This progress is attributed to the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and coordinated efforts by government agencies, vendors, and consumers, contributing to energy self-reliance and environmental benefits.
