Karnal Police Arrest Eight in Connection with Multiple Thefts from Government Institutions
Karnal police's CIA-3 unit arrested eight individuals, including six thieves and two scrap dealers, linked to two gangs involved in 24 theft cases targeting government schools and anganwadi centres. Stolen items included LPG cylinders, wheat bags, inverter batteries, utensils, and cash. The accused, identified by DSP Rajiv Kumar, confessed during interrogation and were remanded in three-day police custody. One had a prior criminal record. The gangs reportedly operated at night, focusing on isolated government institutions.
