Fire at Lucknow Animation Centre Kills 15 Including Engaged Couple and Friends
A major fire at a three-storey commercial building housing an animation centre in Lucknow's Aliganj area killed at least 15 people, mostly students, and injured nine. Among the victims were engaged couple Neelesh Kumar and Anamika Samant, whose families had recently met to plan their wedding. Two other friends from Kanpur, also employees at the centre, died, leaving their families grieving. Many victims were trapped on the second floor during classes when the blaze broke out.
