Portion of NH-44 Near Attibele Collapses, Causing Traffic Disruptions on Bengaluru-Hosur Road

A section of National Highway 44 near Attibele and Chandapura caved in during ongoing road widening and construction of vehicular overpasses, disrupting Bengaluru-Hosur traffic. The collapse, linked to excavation and heavy machinery use, reduced the highway to a single lane, causing long delays. Authorities have barricaded the area, opened a service road for traffic diversion, and begun repair work. No injuries were reported, and NHAI aims to stabilize the stretch and complete the project to improve safety and traffic flow.
