Major Fire at Ludhiana Garment Factory Lasts Over 18 Hours, No Casualties Reported
A major fire broke out at Shreyans Fabrics, a three-storey garment factory in Kailash Nagar, Sherpur, Ludhiana, around midnight, lasting over 18 hours. Firefighters deployed about 200 fire tenders to control the blaze, which destroyed machinery, yarn, fabric stocks, and other materials. No casualties were reported as the factory was empty when the fire started. Fire officials noted the basement was the most challenging area to extinguish. The fire's cause remains under investigation.
