The BJP has launched a renewed political campaign in Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, signaling a solo contest without the Shiromani Akali Dal. Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh and Punjab BJP chief Kewal Singh Dhillon began the outreach with prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. BJP national president Nitin Nabin will start his three-day Punjab visit on June 20 with temple visits and meetings across key cities, emphasizing governance, law and order, and organisational expansion to engage diverse communities and strengthen the party's presence.
