Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid Granted Interim Bail to Attend Father's Chahlum
Engineer Rashid, Member of Parliament from Baramulla and leader of the Awami Itihaad Party, has been granted interim bail for five days to attend the Chahlum, the 40th-day religious observance of his late father, Khazir Mohammad Sheikh. Rashid, currently incarcerated in Tihar Jail on charges related to a terror-linked money laundering case, is expected to arrive in Srinagar on Thursday morning to join family, relatives, and supporters during the mourning period. The bail allows him to participate in important family and religious rituals after a prolonged separation due to his imprisonment.
