Ladakh Administration Seeks SOPs to Restrict Unauthorized Photography Near Sensitive Areas
The Ladakh administration, led by Civil Aviation Department Secretary Nidhi Malik, has called for the formulation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent unauthorized photography and videography of sensitive areas in Leh, including the dual-use airport. This directive follows concerns raised by the Indian Air Force about the circulation of images of operational zones on social media. The meeting also addressed aviation safety issues, infrastructure development, obstacle assessments, and surveillance installations, emphasizing compliance with security guidelines and technical evaluations.
