The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) plans to establish a data fusion centre in Delhi to integrate facial recognition systems and about 1.5 lakh CCTV cameras from major airports, a proposal currently under the Ministry of Home Affairs' consideration. The CISF, responsible for securing 73 civil airports and critical infrastructure, is also expanding its security to seaports and developing a hybrid security model involving trained Private Security Assistants. Additionally, the foundation for a new CISF headquarters building in Delhi was laid, expected to be completed by 2028.
