Manipuri Students' Federation Protests for Drug Prevention Education in Schools
Members of the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) protested outside the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Imphal West, demanding the inclusion of drug prevention education in the school curriculum for Classes V to XII. MSF president Hijam Roshan highlighted the rising drug abuse and trafficking in Manipur, urging authorities to incorporate specialized lessons and WHO-recommended life skills under the National Education Policy 2020. The federation warned of intensified agitation if demands are unmet.
