CWC Inquiry Finds Multiple Children Possibly Abused at Kerala Worship Centre
A Child Welfare Committee (CWC) inquiry into allegations of assault at the Elohim Global Worship Centre in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, found that multiple children housed there may have faced abuse and exploitation. The centre, which also accommodated elderly persons, was closed following the allegations. The case began after a 17-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted by staff members. Authorities have rescued children living there illegally and are investigating further, with police involvement ongoing.
