Forest Fire Near National Institute in West Kameng Contained by Joint Efforts
A forest fire broke out near the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports in West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh, spreading over about 300 metres near the Jyoti Nagar residential complex of the 30th Battalion SSB. Prompt action by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Dirang police, local residents, and paramilitary support contained the fire, preventing damage to homes and public property. Officials praised the coordinated response for safeguarding lives and property swiftly.
