Kullu Dussehra 2026 Begins After Vijayadashami with Week-Long Festival in Himachal
Kullu Dussehra, a 375-year-old festival in Himachal Pradesh, begins on Vijayadashami and runs from October 21 to 27, 2026. Unlike other Dussehra celebrations that end with Ravana's effigy burning, Kullu's festivities honor Lord Raghunath and gather over 300 village deities in a week-long spiritual event known as 'Dev Mahakumbh.' The festival features traditional music, folk dances, processions, a trade fair, and modern attractions like drone and laser shows, blending heritage with contemporary performances.
