BookMyBai Banned Bollywood Celebrities After Domestic Worker Abuse Incident
BookMyBai co-founder Anupam Sinhal revealed that nearly a decade ago, the company banned Bollywood celebrities from hiring domestic workers through its platform after several abuse incidents. The decision followed a disturbing case where a domestic worker was burned with an iron by a celebrity employer. While the ban remains, exceptions are made if a trusted contact vouches for the employer. Sinhal highlighted ongoing challenges in protecting domestic workers from mistreatment in private homes.
