The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is operating three special unreserved train services with nearly 50 coaches connecting Kamakhya with key destinations in Assam and North Bengal to accommodate the anticipated surge of devotees attending the Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhya Temple from June 22 to 25. Additional passenger coaches, round-the-clock ticketing, help desks, and security personnel have been deployed. Meanwhile, Guwahati authorities are preparing for around 8 lakh attendees, setting up accommodation camps, crowd control measures, and traffic management to ensure a smooth event.
